The Italian Marks with its capitol Ancona stretch from the wide beautiful Adriatic beaches far into the untouched mountainous areas of the Apennin. So here both bathing at sea as well as hiking in the mountains is possible, allowing a wide range of outdoor activities. But also from a cultural point of view the Marks are most interesting. Famous cities like Urbino, Assisi, Ascoli Piceno or the pilgrim village Loreto are located right inside this area and easily reached. Macerata -just 30 minutes away from our house- is very famous for its open air shows - comparable to those of Verona.

The driving time to the Adriatic coast is about 40 minutes in a car, in the same time you can reach the Apennin. There are several lakes nearby, that invite you for swimming. Other possible sports for example are tennis or horse riding and a golf course is close to be opened.
